Acura NSX
Acura NSX was launched in 1990 as a sports car by Japanese automaker. It was the first production automotive to feature aluminum construction for its body panels, body structure, engine, and suspension.
Manufacture and Release
Upon its introduction in 1990, the NSX design concept measured 46-inches in height, just 5.56-inches taller than the famous Ford GT40.

First Generation
The first iteration NSX was intended to be a world-class sports car; Manufacturers decided to produce a new version of the NSX in order to bring in a suitable balance between daily drivability and on-track performance at the expense of customary creature comforts.
NSX was out for sale in 1990 as a 1991 model and continued uninterrupted through the 2001 model year.
The initial version of NSX, for the year 1990, came with a modest 3.0-L V6 engine that delivered an output power of 270 hp and torsion of about 210 lb-ft, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. An optional 4-speed automatic gearbox reduced the output level to 252 hp.
Car makers made use of double-wishbone suspension design, and aluminum to keep the curb weight minimum. The significant standard features included leather upholstery, automatic climate control, and antilock brakes.
In 1995, Acura introduced NSX-T, a targa-roof model and in 1997 NSX received its first power-train upgrades.
1997 NSX models were equipped with a larger 3.2-L for delivering 290 hp, mated to 6-speed manual transmission. An automatic transmission was standard on previous 2.0-L V6 engines.
In 1999, a limited-production known as Alex Zanardi Edition was added; it had fixed roof, special wheels, and stiffly tuned suspension.
Second Generation
The second generation NSX was exclusively released in Japan as a 2002 model year. The updated 2002 NSX were featured with larger wheels with high-performance tires, more stiffened suspension, and sequential-shift mode for the automatic transmission.
The coupe model was discontinued in 2002; out-of-fashion elements like monochromatic interior panels, and flip-up headlights were axed by updated metallic-look trim and fixed HID headlights.
The second generation NSX models were powered by 3.2-L V6 engines that delivered 290 hp and 224 lb-ft of torque.
2011 NSX (Present Generation)
The Advanced Sports Car Concept of NSX was unveiled at the Detroit auto show in 2007, which was a preview of the current 2011 NSX.
The new NSX will be powered by a 500 hp 4.5-L V10 engine, and is expected to incorporate a Super Handling All-Wheel Drive, similar as 2011 RL.
The new NSX will compete with similar sports cars like Nissan GT-R and Lexus LF-A.
